Maui Jim was founded in 1980 as a small beachside business selling sunglasses in Maui. Recognising a gap in the market for lenses that could reduce intense glare, block harmful UV rays, and showcase the island’s vibrant colours, the brand developed its innovative PolarizedPlus2® lens technology.

Starting with just seven sunglass styles, Maui Jim has since grown to offer more than 725 styles. Every pair is polarized and designed to provide up to 700% protection from UVA and UVB rays.
